Can I change the speed on a variable speed motor while it is running? I'm speaking about simply flipping the switch on the motor from high to low without turning off the motor. Thanks in advance.

Nothing is shown on the display and no lights, but it does continually/intermittently beep. It does have a GFCI outlet on the side. I'll try to straighten out wires to show where they begin & end. Thanks, I'll try this.

Got the new pump going but the panel no longer works. When I switch the breakers on the pump will start up but nothing else works, waterfall, lights, timer, etc... I have long since converted to chlorine and I'm sure it's a ton of $$$ to replace the board which I really don't want to spend at...

Started up and it ran for a couple of hours then just stopped? Could I have damaged it if the red and blue wires were out of order? Is there a reset anywhere or is the motor done?

Thanks. Does that mean that one connects in between the yellow and black on the variable speed switch and one connects between the yellow and black on the motor? And does it matter which connects where?
