Did you ever figure this out? Mine just started doing it as well. No extension cord used. Worked, we had a power outage, now it doesn't work.

I have found a "Fix" for this. I can not explain why it is working, but it is. I jumpered from #2 to #5 on the picture below. Incoming Black wire to the black wire headed to the transformer. I expected this to cause the pump to always run and figured that was better than it never running. Oddly...
