Be careful with that unit. I haven't used it in a number of years but IIRC it has an issue with no battery backup for the settings and if power is lost it starts back up by having both pumps on at full blast.

It cannot be done in a pool environment because the ORP can be affected by many more variables that aren't electronically measurable other than FC.

You could use a sprinkler timer and 24v NC solenoid valve to achieve this. The ones they sell with sprinklers won't work because the bleach will corrode them in short order. The only valves I know of that will work with bleach are Plast-o-matic and they are not cheap.

Will it work? Absolutely, but it must be sized correctly. For peak demand, not average daily usage. Make sure you have no water leaks in the pool and you must use stabilizer. Just like any other system, it is not a panacea for all your problems. The green water won't automatically be solved...
