Is Algecide 60 sold by In The Swim the same thing as Polyquat 60? Getting ready to order some so I can start AA treatment and did not want to waste money on wrong product.

I am having a hard time finding a replacement motor for it...I will make some more calls Monday and see what I can find so I can stick with the 2 speed..I did not know it was that low HP when on low which is where I leave it most of the time. Thanks for pointing that out and saving me some $$$$

Can I convert my hayward super pump from dual speed .75/1.5 hp to a single speed 1 hp motor since I am having to replace the motor?

My pool is going on 4th season and it sounds like my Hayward Super pump is going out...it runs but sounds like it is grinding more than it did when new. How long do pumps usually last? This is dual speed and rune 24/7 on low setting and only on high when using slide or putting in acid.

Hoping somebody can clear the dosage amount question up for me...thanks in advance!

Latest update! I crushed up about twenty pills into small chunks and placed them over a spot in the pool with several stains. I left them for thirty minutes and they dissolved into a fine powder over the stains. I then brushed off the powder and notice the stains are much lighter. With this...

Ok I got some cheap ones and tried rubbing on the stains, holding on the stains, and crushing up and using on the stains. None of these removed the stains...now what?

All I could find was vitamin C with Rose hips added...should I look elsewhere?

That may be the problem then...I will go by Wally World tomorrow and get some cheap ones. Nice thing is the pools is now crystal clear thanks to the DE sand treatment we did for two weeks! Bad thing is you can see these little stains now :eek:

I gave some stains forming on my fiberglass pool,and have tried the vitamin C tablet test. The stains did not lesson and cannot be removed unless you take steel wool to them which I do not want to do on clear coat.the stains are brownish in color. I am in a rural area and all water is well...
