I have a splapool sand filter (I think). it doesn't have any information on it regarding model # or size that I can see. I measured it around and its 52in completely around. I have a 24x 52 above ground with 1hp 2sp pump. Is this big enough?

well, trying to keep it about 5. and usually its gone or down to maybe 1 by the end of the day. is that normal?

i have a splapool sand filter and the words have faded off of the top where you turn the handle to different positions. I know the most used positions, filter and backwash but would like to know the others. Have searched, without luck, online. Any ideas? Thanks

Great, thanks! One further thing, I am comparing both pumps recommended by the two guys who have helped me on this post. They both seem to be great choices. The pentair dynamo stated that it does not come with a cord? Will my current cord be interchangeable?

I noticed that the power Flo matrix is listed as 110v. My current pump is 115v. We have an electrical line professionally installed with 2 gfi outlets one of which we plug our pump into. Will the new pump be compatible?

Yea u just figured to replace it altogether rather the put more $ in to a new lid on a pump that seemed insufficient. I appreciate your help!! BTW, how do u tell what size my sand filter is?

I have a 3/4 hp 1 speed that the lid cracked on The basket cover. its 115v and it barely powered my hayward diver dave vacuum. We had a "pool guy" come last year to open up our pool and he said our pump was too small? Best i can see is its a splapool? There is no other brand indication ....

Should it move all the time? It only bobs when ppl are in the pool maKing the water splash around? Is it possible to replace just the door? Or foam?

It bounces up and down but not back and forth (in and out) I am pretty sure that's not the way it should function. But theres return water and its strong. Here's the best pic I can get
