    New Swim Spa

Thanks so much. It will be covered. I didn't use any dichlor at all with my pool, just the occasional SLAM.

    New Swim Spa

Which Dichlor should I get - there are brands and variations. I liked the Pool Math where I could just buy bleach, baking soda without having to choose from a variety of blends. Thanks

    New Swim Spa

I have a new 16' Swim Spa being delivered today. I've googled Dichlor and am a little confused on what to purchase. I took care of my full size pool successfully in Texas using Bleach, Baking Soda and Muriatic Acid according to Pool Math. I want to make sure things are as simple for a Swim Spa...

    Where to buy cartridges

Thanks all - I had googled and gone on Amazon. I can't find that cartridge. Those are the numbers that are on the top of the cartridge and are labeled as "Replacement Part #s" I will keep looking. Ann

    Where to buy cartridges

Does anyone have suggestions for the most economical place to purchase cartridges? I have a Pentair Clean and Clear RP. The old cartridge has two replacement part numbers. 173200 or R178671 Thanks. Ann

    Dirt in pool after rainstorm

Thanks - now to plan the landscaping that I didn't want to do. I think a nice brick bench at that end of the pool will be handy?

    Pristine Blue Hair Staining

When my daughter was little she had white blond hair too and it would turn green from the pool. We used a shampoo and creme rinse called Ultra Swim. You can get it at Walmart. It's about $4. I just bought it recently when I got this pool at Ulta also.

    Dirt in pool after rainstorm

I live in the San Antonio area of Texas. We had some pretty big storms lately. Yesterday's even closed down part of I-35 (again). Anyhow, there is one spot on the patio around my pool where the grass is the same level as the patio. With the drenching that happened a few weeks ago and this...

    CC test

I have a TF-100 test kit. When I finished my FC test (7.5 today with a CYA of 50), I put in the 5 drops of R-0003 and it does not change color for about a minute. After a minute there is the slightest tinge of pink. I put in my one drop of R-0871 and it goes clear. Am I doing this right...

    Brand new pool!

So here's some interesting stats (and I went to the pool store to verify that I wasn't nuts) - Today, my tests show FC - 23.5 CC - 0.5 PH - 7.8 TA - 70 CH 350 CYA - 50 (as opposed to yesterday: FC - 4.5 CC - 0.5 PH - 7.5 TA - 80 CH 100 CYA - 70 or 80) The pool store verified that my CYA...

    Brand new pool!

I bet the total gallons is off. I'm just going on what the installer told me it was. There's always room for user error on the testing too! ;^)
