Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Interesting points! Now I'm thinking to include a feature where one could DIAL IN the point where this current-sense switch starts (or stops) working. In this way, one could simply tune the circuit (turn a dial...a potentiometer or something) to match one's desired operation of their chlorine...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Yes, I used exactly what was spec'ed in the article (I had a pre-existing SSR so that was different) and YES, there can be issues sensing enough current if you aren't drawing enough current like one might in winter time running a variable speed pump at a very low speed. I experimented with my...

Replacing pump, but new suction position is 1 inch lower than old one. What to do?

It is usually best to plumb a pipe straight into your pump (no fittings...no bends) if possible and whose length is around 5x the diameter of the pipe. So you'd want ~10" of pipe for a 2", for example. The idea is to make it as easy as possible to get water into your pump with minimal...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Simple Load Sensing Automatic Switch - IBUILDIT.CA I built this simple and relatively cheap circuit. I have a problem with my main pump's GFCI breaker (nuisance?) tripping 1-2 times per month. So I used this circuit to ensure that as long as the main pump is running, my pool cleaner pump AND...

Stenner liquid chlorine pump - How to choose and install

Also very true of The Liquidator (salt build up). I'm now using The Liquidator tank as the holding tank for my Stenner. :)

    Algae issue with good numbers

It was shocking to me. I think I had some seriously tough, Clint Eastwood/John Wayne type of algae! Or maybe the roughness of the Pebble Sheen finish allow the algae to really dig its claws and fight the barrage of chlorine I was hitting it with! I did eventually win! :D

    Algae issue with good numbers

Yes, fully follow the SLAM process. The "And Maintain" part of that is the key and what most beginners fail to do. I had to Maintain shock levels in my pool for over 2 MONTHS to clear up my algae problem!! It worked but was slow and frustrating...but it works. Keep those chlorine levels up!!

    Stubborn Algae Removal

I wanted to update this thread with a tale of full and complete success! Yeah! I basically kept the chlorine levels between 20-40 for most of this summer and by the end of July, the overnight chlorine test finally came back as zero. Wow...what an ordeal. I grew tired of brushing not long...

    Stubborn Algae Removal

FC 22.5 (OCLT was 1; CC are 0) pH -- TA 220 CH 320 CYA 50 (~47 ;) ) Temp 61 F I've been adding about a 1/2 gallon of 31% muriatic acid every other day to knock the TA down. It's coming down. Everything else looks the same. This algae continues to defy. Honestly, I don't think the color of...

    Stubborn Algae Removal

Finally brushing feels like I'm actually doing something now. I have some algae clouds coming off the walls and floor with the bristle pool brushes. I ordered a 10" and 18". The 10" is nice for the steps and spa as I can get into corners better and scrub a little more vigorously. The 18" is...

    Stubborn Algae Removal

I put a logarithmic scale on my vial so as a matter of fact, I *can* read a 47. :D Funny, I went to Amazon to look at stiff brushes and found a couple that looked good and ordered them. They will be here this evening! WOW!
