New build in South Texas

Hi Martin,
man the lights look great shining on the Palms. Very resort-esque. Would you happen to have a recent pic of your equipment pad? I'm a equipment nut and love looking at all the different setups people have. I'm sure yours is quite impressive and I would love to see it. Im sure others would too!

Thanks!

The final wiring for the lights is still going on. The equipment pad is nothing special, but here are 3 shots of it.

Amazing Lights!

Martin, check out this awesome use of a quadracopter drone... I thought you might like this. :)

That is a fun video. I am waiting for the project to be done so I can take my drone up and do both day and night videos:cyclops:

Wow, just jumping in, what an incredible design. Drool, complete and utter, drool! The lighting is gorgeous. I stayed at a fantastic yacht club in Acapulco, the Club de Yachtes, years ago. It had incredible stone and palms and a retro feel throughout. Your place takes me back there!

Although my girls (Great Danes) are inside dogs, I wanted to provide them a place to lounge around. I also put up a weather station in the back yard. My wife takes great interest in the weather.

I think you guys will get a kick out of this. I bought a couple of items that were supposed to help keep ducks away. Here are a couple of pictures of the “wolf” (with a tail that has hair that blows in the wind) that I bought from Haveahart and have standing by one of the retaining walls. Well although the ducks avoid my real dogs, they are not fazed by the “wolf”. My wife takes great pleasure and chuckles in telling me that the ducks love the Wolf. She looks at what I bought and just shakes her head and laughs. The ducks do not go near the pool. I will try a solar operated spray head that is motion activated and sprays a stream of water to scare the ducks. We will see how effective that will be

The scarecrow sprinkler heads do work very well although I tended to get zapped by mine too often for enjoyment. On a similar note to your wolf, I have a good sized Koi pond. Blue herons are a huge problem with koi ponds and I have a fairly large one that likes to visit in the spring and fall. I had read that heron are very territorial and if they see another heron near the pond they will avoid it so I decided to purchase a heron decoy. I would put it out in the spring and fall. Last spring when he was guarding the pond, I lost a few koi. Turns out that in the spring since it is mating season heron are actually attracted to other heron. So my decoy was basically enticing the males down to the pond. Sometimes you cannot beat nature....
