IMPOWR Variable Speed Pool Pump Motor 1.25hp for $125 too risky?

Looking to get a variable speed pump motor to reduce energy costs and possibly keep my pool open through the winter. I already have a Hayward super pump, and an almost new super 2 pump housing so I don't need a pump and motor.

I've seen issues with this impower posted and they appear to be out of business so this must be a close out.
But Leslie's has this motor for $125. Not sure if it's still too risky.

Other option would be spending about $550 for the pure line or century v green.

Well I just picked the motor up today and installed it. So far so good. Low speed is enough for my Raypack heat pump to run, so that is good.

Time will tell how long it lasts.
