How to easily remove sand from bottom of pool

I live in the desert in Southern California and high winds are constantly blowing sand into the pool.

I've tried three robots, including two from Dolphin, and none pick up sand. They either completely miss it, or they suck it up and blow it around the pool, eventually settling back on the floor. We've tried all the available filter options, most recently with the Dolphin Premier.

Does anyone use a standalone vacuum or robot that easily sucks up sand? I've seen "Pool Blaster" mentioned in one other thread. Any other ideas?

The dolphin nautilus CC plus picks up everything. Clay dust, sand, even found a chipmunk in there today. 😝

The right filter is the way forward. I've had a dolphin and EVO now and both would not pick up the dirt/sand without the fine filter installed.
