Walmart has cleared out all their pool chlorine for Christmas gear

Walmart is my regular source for chlorine (usually $5.67 a gallon for 10%).

I went there today and all the pool chlorine is gone and the Christmas stuff is in its place.

It’s 3 months ‘till Christmas and I still have a month of pool season here in Texas!

As a small consolation they are selling OTO/Phenol test refill kits for $1.50 on clearance.

You can use regular bleach if liquid chlorine is not available. It will be less concentrated and more expensive but it will work. Just make sure it is just regular bleach - not splashless and no brighteners or scents. Used it for years when it was dirt cheap before the pandemic. Walmart's Equate brand is OK to use if you can find it as well as grocery store brands.

Yes indeed. But the regular bleach from Walmart isn’t as cost effective as the chlorinating liquid.

Do what you can do. I have 3 gallons of Pools Esentials that are about 2 months old. I’m hoping they’ll take me to closing SLAM. My WM still has LC in the aisle.

So far I can still get it as I picked up 8 gallons today. As mentioned, they put the Xmas shop where the outdoor stuff was but the pool stuff is now in an aisle right next to the Xmas shop and shared with the outdoor bird seed products. Still got good dates too.

Also check ace hardware and rural king if you have them.
I’m super lucky there’s a mom & pop nearish me that beats walmart with fresh refills.

Mine still has a bunch here in DFW, maybe try ordering online like others mentioned. I did notice all the christmas stuff on the next aisle when i was there yesterday.
