So I’ve been trying to have my kids learn how to test the pool. We got a little water in my the Fas-dpd powder and it kind of bricked up on us. We can kind of scrape it off, but now we always test around 2.5 chlorine instead of usual 5.0. Comparator block is deep yellow like a max 5.0.

This evening, I’m going to add some liquid chlorine and re test. But is there any chance that clumpy powder could affect the test? Should we start adding 2 scoops? Any thoughts are appreciated.

Smash the DPD container on the counter holding the lid a number of times and you'll likely be able to break it up. But if you got it pretty wet, I'd just order more, it's not terribly expensive but accuracy goes awry when the powder is compromised.
