I'm just a DIY guy and figured I can plumb my own heater. I read up on bypasses and check valves and I think I have that all covered. Not sure if it's overkill but I used four unions. Is there anything I could have done different to improve this setup?
As far has the flow rate is concerned with the minimum / maximum 30/70 for the aquacal sq225, when my pump is at full power at 3300 RPM, I'm seeing about 35 to 38 GPM. Typically run around 2000 RPM to get the best skimming for my pool but at that speed I'm about 25 gpm.
The heater is not wired up yet but I'm guessing I have to run this pump at full speed to even activate the flow switch. I know I'm severely limited with 1.5 inch pipe but anything I can do increase flow here?
