New construction

looks disgusting on a semmingly clean pool. The clay cloud is how I got to 20ppm yesterday. Turned up the temporary trichlor feeder they installed and dumped 128oz of 10%.
On the plus side, dirt is mostly FC neutral.

There is bound to be some small amount of organic matter in there needing sanitizing, but for the most part, you could shovel a bunch in and never see the FC dip.

I had to mentally let it go and accept that the pool would be crystal clear dirty for the summer. Having the patio finished helped but there was still dirt/dust for the 8 weeks it took to grow grass.
My pb kept us under budge
My PB kept us dead on track. I was my own worst enemy though. Like the 1800 sq ft patio. I mean. I can't take it with me, and it looks AMAZING, but it cost me a car. :ROFLMAO:

The mentally is getting harder as we get close. I am off for a week and will be staring at it like Capt Kirk at Khan.
Thanks for the dirt is neutral tip. Maybe the next few days gets fc down a bit lol.

Oh I KNOW. I had a TFP clear pool for years and then had to accept a muddy one. Believe me it was a tough pill to swallow. But I had to accept it for my own good and found a way to swallow it.

$15 trector supply chair with hand towels duct taped to legs. Who needs an $800 chair. 😂😂😂IMG_2568.jpeg

ahhhhhhh got ya! Did you get a test kit yet?
TFP pro salt. Numbers are in Poolmath. Panicked the other day after pb dumped concrete dust and clay in pool while forming deck. So I dumped 1 gallon of LC in bringing fc up to 20. @Newdude put me at ease that clay does not have much organic material. Water is back to super clear again but now I can see gravel and silt in corners. Still no chems

All you're missing now is salt.

Is there any reason for the holdup besides it not being a priority of the PB ? Tell him to drop off 11 bags (2 extra) and you'll add it yourself to allow it time to mix. Not only will it give you something to do and seem like progress, it will be another thing off the punchlist and all PB has to do is stop by and fire up the SWG.

Remember. Test before adding salt, even with a recent fill. Never blindly add salt, CYA or CH because if you overshoot you have to drain. We had a salt overshoot and drain yesterday or the day before. It definitely happens.

@kimkats I will test again tomorrow morning as it is blazing hot right now. Brownish shadows/spots are clay and gravel. Water is super clear. May just run FC hot as some call it. 😂😂Maybe once concrete is set Thursday and big pile of dirt are gone it will be easier. $500 per load to take away have a friend who will take for free. Saving around $4k which used to expand decking. @Newdude can you shoot me a pic of what a near 1800sq ft deck looks like. 😳image.jpg

If its on your property, and they have your money, its your pool. I wouldnt stand for that baloney.

If a tree fell in it and put a hole in it, whose pool would the PB say it is?

ultimately, you are going to be stuck with whatever happens, might as well do the best you can with it.

@kimkats Testin TA. Added 1st 2 drops then added 5 drops after first drop water turned pink never green

Just tested water again. Hot as Hades here today. Crew ran electrical for waterfall lights and prepped for bonding inspection. Take a peek and tell me how bad these numbers are affecting water please. I can always run and get some Arm and Hammer

Describe how you got 4.5 CCs please.

Costco/Bjs/Sam's should be the best deal with 13lbs for under $10.

I'd add 30 or 40 and mix well for 20 mins. Then verify it worked as expected before going further.
