So my original plan was option 1 but upon further reading, if you have a spillover spa, as I do, it is beneficial to have the switch after the pool/spa return valve. The issue is that, there is very little space to mount my switch after the valve. If it matters any, I do have the prologic setup so I don't know if that could cut off the cell when I want to run the spa versus relying on the flow switch. The other concern is the switch would be vertical in option 2. Thoughts?

You do not say what SWCG you are using. I would use option 1 but I would put the flow switch and SWCG on that long pipe parallel to the heater between the 2 90 deg turns. Depending on which SWCG you have, it may have a setting for Spa and another setting for Pool. So when you in Spa mode, you have a lower % output on your SWCG because the Spa is a much smaller body of water.

Sorry it's going to be the t-cell-15 with the prologic pl-p-4. I'll read into the manual and maybe the spa/pool button on the prologic will be my resolution to the problem.

Great. The flow switch can be a short distance in front of the SWCG but try to have 6 or more inches of straight before the flow switch.
Looks good for it to all fit. Good Luck.

It was too short of a run to have it right after the cell so this is what I came up with. It was my first pvc job so hopefully it works when I flip the switch.
