Seeking advice from Calimar, Circupool, Black & Decker, or Blue Torrent variable speed pump owners... (maybe even other brands as I'm new to all of this)
I just joined the variable speed pump club this season and loving it so far. I've been running 24/7 on low rpm manual mode, but my pump basket slowly fills with air overtime, so I was hoping to get a schedule setup to purge this once a day at a higher rpm.
Here's my issue: It appears that my pump is not smart enough to recognize what speed setting it needs to go to based on the current time when I start the pump. It will go on "pause" mode (on, but 0 rpm) until the current time triggers the time set for Speed 1. Let me explain...
Here's my current schedule (I've tried others, but have the same problem):
Speed 1: 3000 rpm, 1 hour @ 12am
Speed 2: 1500 rpm, 23 hours
If I turn off the pump to perform maintenance during the day and turn the pump back on, then for some reason, it sits at 0 rpm until the current time surpasses the time set for Speed 1 (12 am)
Is this by design? I would expect that the pump would run at Speed 2 anytime during the day once I start the pump again on schedule mode.
Hopefully I'm missing something...
