I now relize this isn't the right product to raise my hardiness level but can I just dump it in anyway? I have a SWG but I'm not sure its safe to use all the chemicals.

Hello! I edited your thread title to grab some attention to your specific question. But I have to ask ... your numbers in Poolmath look pretty good. What is prompting you to add calcium? Is it the heater's owner's manual?

Your pH is on the low side, but still within acceptable limits. Are you currently doing a SLAM after opening?

It's more to get in line with pool school recommendations. I've heard it doesn't matter with fiberglass pools but I just don't like being out of range. The fiberglass is also turning a lighter color under the water line and I wonder if it's related.

That is probably unrelated. Mine has done the same thing and my CH level is typically around 375.

@JoyfulNoise, can you confirm the OP's proposed ingredients please? See any red flags?

It’s mostly salt (sodium chloride). It won’t raise CH much at all.
Thanks, I'm asking also because I don't want to have to return it (pain in the butt 60lbs and my back is already killing me from unrelated issues). Just need to purchase calcium chloride next time.

All it will do is raise your salinity without touching the CH. It’s really not useful.
