Disabling water flow sensor-Hayward Omnilogic

Hi, We have a Hayward Omnilogic system and I keep getting the "No Water Flow FlowSensor" error message, so the filter pump shuts down after 15 minutes. I am having to turn it on manually from the phone app every 15 minutes. I suspect we will need a new flow sensor, but until someone can come out to have a look, does anyone know how to disable my flow sensor? Apparently it is possible to do this but I can't find any tutorials online. Thanks!

Is your salt system working?
How do I tell? The water test was fine and the water is clear...
It seems from the manual that I can delete the flow switch but not just turn it off. I was hoping to just turn it off so that it was still there when I got a new one but don't think that's possible. It also looks like I have two flow sensors on the screen, so I'm not sure which one to delete. We only have a pool, no spa, so I was only expecting one flow switch. Note that we didn't set this system up originally, it was there when we bought our house.

I just tried to delete the flow sensor and it wouldn't let me anyway! Says I need it for chlorination. So looks like I have no option but to turn on the filter manually every 15mins from the app....

I'm pretty sure that you can disable Flow Monitoring without disabling the chlorinator.

Use the Configuration Wizard.

In any case, the Chlorinator will not work with a bad flow switch, so you can disable the chlorinator for now.

In the Wizard answer No to Do you have a Salt Water Chlorinator?

Also disable any extra flow switches that are enabled.

You probably figured it out already, but it sounds to me that there is an interlock programmed with your pump and flow switch. Your pump should continue running independent of the flow switch. Instead of trying to disable the flow switch, I’d check if there is an interlock programmed and remove it.

I was looking thru some of the threads with this issue because I'm getting the same message and my pump is doing the same exact thing. I, too, think maybe my flow switch is gone because I have great flow thru my jets and my chlorinator is working just fine. I have a two-speed pump and it runs on the slower speed without shutting down. However, when I kick it up to high speed, it will run 10-15 minutes and cut off and give me the message, ' no water flow timeout flowsensor'. But the slower speed running constantly has kept my pool in pretty good shape. Changing out the sensor looks fairly easy, and the Hayward substitute is $30. Did the new switch resolve your issue?

Hi! I am having this exact same problem. It happened to me once last year, a long with issues with my pool heater, and it turned out the Hayward motherboard needed to be replaced.

This time it is only the water flow sensor. There are no instructions anywhere. The pool pump shuts off at exactly 15 minutes.

Did anyone figure out how to solve this issue? Is it an issue with some interlocking programming?
