Has anyone seen a split tee fitting that looks like the one below but that will fit a SS pool railing (1.9" OD)? I have two stainless rails that have deck mounting plates already welded on. I want to attach the horizontal rails to the rear vertical pipes in a set of AGP steps. I've had zero luck finding anything close on google, grainger, globalindustrial, etc.

This is the stair I have:

A rudimentary look at what I'm trying to do. I'll have a SS rail on each side of the step to replace the existing flimsy handrails. I just need a way to secure the stairs so they don't move.

After looking more closely at your ladder photos. I see you need to wrap around 1 pipe and slip another in and tighten a set screw. Is this correct? I been looking for a tee that would tie 3 separates pipes. I got to go back through my history because I pretty sure I found split tee SS to hold 2 pieces. Let me know if this is correct.

You are correct. I need a slip fit on the vertical pipe going into the steps and a split on top to wrap around the bottom of the handrail(s).

Stump, I actually think this might work. The bottom is oversized, but I can work with that. The opening with the bolt might not fit but I would certainly give it a try. Where did you find this?

P.S. Sorry for the late reply - crazy month for my family.

The tee you recommended worked great. While I would have preferred stainless, the Aluminum Magnesium looks good and is holding up to the salt water. The open end fit perfectly around a 1.9 OD rail and the bottom around a 1.5" PVC pipe. Thanks again.

Glad to have the opportunity to help you. That was a tough nut to crack lol. Maybe you can eventually find that fitting in SS......
