Replacement Intex Vacuum parts

When 1st installed my 9x18 rectangle I used a deluxe skimmer with additional intex vacuum accessories... As you can see below the cap that goes on the top of the internal vacuum skimmer component is weathered and broken. I have a filter sock that fits into it for large debris. The top of the broken cap is where I attached the vacuum hose.... Can't seem to find a replacement. I could find an alternate skimmer cap but all I have seen on the internet does not give the internal specific dimensions for a tight seal. My skimmer bucket is about 7 3/8" inside. If I could find a new skimmer cap with the correct inside dimension I could just leave the basket of the skimmer in for large debris. I dont want to go direct to sand filter (would require excess backwashing)... Anybody have any ideas??? thx for the help in advance... Todd in Littleton CO

I leave my skimmer basket in the skimmer, and place this plate over it all... blue ring and all. That way the skimmer basket catches the large stuff.

I have the same set up and I know I have seen the items on eBay in the past just not regularly. And intex doesn’t sell them or not posted you can call them tho cause they sell many other replacement parts. Another option is to get the intex pool vac n it uses the bags just like the skimmer vac does but it has a vac head and comes with hose and pole and adapter to screw on similar to what the over side skimmer sets up with. Bestway also makes a set similar comes with several adapters and the pole plus hand skim and weighted vac head and piece has filter bag plus plastic clamps. Bestway can find for under 70. But maybe try Amazon n ask under question and answer exact measurements for the generic round tops? I would also try if you have Facebook use marketplace and say ISO and post the photo someone may hav one and be local and not even want it. Never know. I found the whole set on eBay just by chance just now it’s on auction also has a buy it now price as well the item number is 203457791682 so you need to search for it using that number it’s all the pieces including what broke on yours so couldn’t hurt to have few spare parts as well. Hope this helps
