I’m deciding on pool tile. There are a lot of amazing stone look tiles that are 6”x13” that I love, we like modern not your typical glazed tile. Our builder isn’t too found of it because he says it looks more like a wall tile. Is there any functional reason to stay away from a 6x12” and do a typical 6”x6”? Our pool is a rectangle so no curves to contend with.

thanks,
Liz

HI! I think they will look great! I know there are a few builds recently on here using longer tiles like that for their waterline tiles. I wish I looked around a bit more because after my tile was going up I found the same tile in a larger size. Good luck :)

we did 6x12 for our waterline, 12x24 for the bond beam, and stone veneer for the spa. We loved the way it turned out. I wanted the modern look without the 6x6 classic look. All my tile was less than my $10 budget From NPT.View attachment 172816

Love it the builder allows npt what is the tile name if you don’t mind sharing.
Thanks.

Nicely done! Mind sharing the tile name?

Looks great! What type of tile or material is that called around your spa? We are looking for something like that for our fountain.

What pool coping do you have? Is it techo bloc onyx? That’s what we are doing. There aren’t many photos out there especially with concrete decking. Love it, does it get extremely hot?

thanks

Our coping is concrete and its colored concrete. Cobblestone is the color by Davis Concrete. Not sure yet if it gets real hot since we just completed the build, but I would imagine it does!

Hello! I would absolutely love your opinion on the 6 x 12 slate white tile as I am considering it for our pool as well! Is it hard to keep clean? Does the textured surface collect mold & mildew more than a smooth surface would? Thanks!
