Did I miss this somewhere on this site? This video says that pH can be acceptable up to 7.8 in the presence of CYA. Has this been explicitly stated somewhere on this site or is it a revised guideline item?
Somehow I never saw this on this site and have been adding acid to keep it down in the 7.4 to 7.6 range. This then causes the TA to drop so I have also been adding baking soda.
If I were to follow the advice in the video, I would be reducing my pool maintenance a lot, i.e. far less frequent additions of acid and baking soda. That sounds great.
