Chemical check before SWG installation

My Circupool RJ60+ will arrive tomorrow and I’m planning to install it. I wanted to put my latest chemical tests here and see if anything needs to be adjusted prior to installing.

FC - 8
TA - 130 - 140
PH - 7.4
CYA - 70-80
Salt - 600

I think the TA is high but not sure how / if I should bring that down before installing. Any thoughts?

Should I plan to have Muriatic acid on hand to lower PH?

I plan to put the salt in (480 pounds) and then install the SWG. Is it bad if I put the salt in and then have the pump off while installing? Or should I dump in the salt after installing?

Any help or advice is appreciated!

You can install the cell whenever it's convenient. Just remember that the salt needs about 24 hours to fully dissolve and mix before you start the SWG. By then your pH may need adjusting, And if not, it will the day after you start the SWG.

Your pH is likely to climb fast but as you lower it with acid, TA will also decrease. No special effort, just diligence with the pH.

Thanks @Richard320! So until the salt dissolved over 24 hours I should just keep an eye on the chlorine with liquid chlorine? And should I run the pump straight for 24 hours once the salt goes in?
Yes, maintain chlorine. The pump is your choice. It'll take a couple hours to fully dissolve and then let it mix for a couple with the pump on. If you want to leave it on the lowest speed, it certainly won't hurt or cost much.
