Possible leak with no air bubbles

Good morning, happy 4th.

I suspected a leak in my pool as I was adding water about 3x week (probably losing an inch or two each time.). I did the bucket test over the last 36 hours and the pool did in fact lose more than the bucket. There is zero air in my return lines.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where to start my troubleshooting ? Is this something a weekend warrior can tackle?

Also, there is a slight drip in my plumbing going to my return lines.... but very minimal... as it basically just wets the concrete PD.

What I did was cap the suction/return/skimmer with my winterizing plugs and check to see if it was still dropping. That will isolate the issue to either the plumbing or the pool shell itself.

That is smart. So cap them one at a time or all and turn off the pump for like a day with them all capped and see if it drops ?

All of them. Then I planned to undo one at a time until I found the culprit. But it ended up being a tear in my liner. I was losing 10”+ a day.

I hate to not run my pump for that long.... it could take several days if trying all possible culprits.

You could take them out and run it for a few hours, then re-mark water levels and plug all but one

Is it possible that there could be a leak in the plumbing by the filter and backwash valve? I just did a backwash and noticed that even when the pump is set to normal (not backwash) and I open the backwash valve water slowly flows out? When I put it in backwash the water shoots out.... FYI this valve is usually shut and if I don’t open it the backwash is ran through a pipe into the sewer line ...

Maybe your valves are starting to fail? You shouldn’t be getting water in the backwash tube when system isn’t set to backwash, I don’t think.

Whoops don’t know why that posted again.

Well I wouldn’t say the Val es are failing for say but when I open the valve that normally would open the backwash line, water flows out slowly. Which makes me wonder if the water is slowly spilling out into the sewer line. I’m going to listen into the p trap and see if I can’t hear a trickle or anything.
