Borate ppm goal

This year I’d like to add Mule team to the team. I did it 2y ago and skipped it last year, which may have resulted in the pH instability I experienced.

Just took the cover off, added water, and today is the day to start treatment. I couldn’t remember/find the borate goal for non-salt-water. What should be the borate level, enough to help with pH?

I plan to get all the pool water balanced and running before adding the borates.

Not sure how I missed that, but thank you! Answer: 30-50ppm

You might try 30ppm to start but I have found that to be too low. My pool only starts to see stabilization of pH when my borates are at 50ppm. I typically run it up to 60-80ppm but I do that because I have no pets or kids drinking from my pool, so higher doesn’t bother me.
