Waterway Pump Compacitor?

Hi all, have a question on my pump which brought me here to this forum. Hoping someone can help.

My Waterway SD-15-1N11MC 1.5hp pump is humming but not running. If I take the back off, give it power and turn the shaft in back, it will start running.

What I have gathered is that the compacitor is probably bad.

I can’t find any information on this pump. Where the compacitor is or which one to pick up.

Can anyone help with these questions? I will try to attach photos of the pump information.

It looks like the motor does not use a capacitor.

Thats what I was afraid of. So can I assume there is no fixing it and I need to buy a new one?

If you're getting good voltage to the motor, it's probably dead.

You can do a new motor or a new pump.

The pump is overpowered. Maybe consider a smaller pump or a two speed pump.
