What am I doing wrong

My pool has been cloudy for the last two weeks. Its started out green and I did the slam process, but now it's very cloudy and wont clear up. Here are my numbers from a TF-100 kit
CYA-60
FC-6.5
CC-1
CH-100
TA-130
PH 7.2
I have vacuumed and scrubbed the pool sides every day for two weeks. I have a cartridge filter, which is also cleaned every day sometimes twice a day, for my above ground 24×54 pool that holds 13,594 gallons of water. The water looks pretty, but not clean. I can kind of see the bottom of my pool when I stand at the rail, but it's not easy.

If CYA is 60, you need to raise FC to 24 and keep it up there until the water is clear, the CC is .5 or less, and you pass an overnight loss test. This in addition to your current brushing-vacuuming-filtercleaning routine.

The water doesn't look all that bad; I suspect you're only a few days from sparkling, if you jack the FC up to shock level. Yes, it will take quite a bit of bleach to get to 24, but the daily losses shouldn't be too awful. The worst is through.

Will a 2nd slam get my cc to zero?

Yes, it should go down to .5 or better yet to 0.
You are done when:
CC is 0.5 or lower;
You pass an OCLT (ie overnight FC loss test shows a loss of 1.0 ppm or less);
And the water is clear.

When all three are true, you are done SLAMing and can allow the FC to drift down to normal levels. Make sure that the pool is always within 7-9 FC.

Are you using bleach/liquid chlorine to sanitize? How did your CYA get to be 60?

My husband "helped" by adding stabilizer. I'm using pool liquid chlorine because all the bleach I can find is only 6% and the pool shock is 12.5 to 10.2%. I've put in about 8 bottles in the last 2 weeks.

HA! Tell him no more "helping", you are the master of the pool :) As far as bleach goes, just use whichever is the best bang for your buck. The Pool Math app has a bleach price calculator. Turns out that the 6% great value bleach is $0.40 / oz and the Pool Essentials %10 liquid is $0.28 /oz so not a huge savings. But the stronger the concentration, the less you have to lug around and dump in.

For my pool, 8 bottles in two weeks would be about right. I was using a 121 oz bottle of 8.25% every other day last year once my water was balanced. That's $45 a month, very reasonable! It was so regular that I just got into the routine of adding a bottle every other day and testing maybe twice a week. You'll get to know your pool and how much chlorine it eats, and will be able to look at the water with a glance and know something is off.

The pool is looking better, I can see the bottom now, but it's still not as clear as it was last year. I just ran my numbers with my TF-100
FC-10
CC-0
CYA 40
Last night when I ran my numbers my FC was 10.5 and my CC was 0.5 to me it sounds like I've completed the process but I'm not sure. If I let my FC face down to normal levels do you guys think that will clear up the water?

I’d keep the SLAM up another day or two. Have you cleaned your filter lately?

For a CYA of 40 you want to SLAM at FC 16. Pass the OCLT, and get CC below 0.5

If you have any hair nets or skimmer socks, stick them in your skimmer basket, it'll help filtrate out the fine stuff without loading up your filter.

Here's another tip if you have some time. You want to run your cartridge filter a little bit dirty to filter out finer stuff. The next time you clean your filter and rinse it, let it completely dry out, the fibers in the pleats will shrink a little, and filter out finer.
If the water is still cloudy after 5 days of running the pump 24 hours, PM me I have a few different solutions to get you clear.

Ok I do have hair nets in the skimmer which I put in two days ago and change twice a day when they look icky. I also run the filter 24 hours a day since I started this process. I was hoping to be able to swim this weekend, but that does not look like it will happen. Something else I noticed is any movement in the water seems to make it cloudier. I just stuck my feet in to cool down and the water around them was worse for a few minutes then cleared up a bit.
