Intermatic PX300 transformer wiring

Attempting to connect my pool light to the transformer. The light has 3 wires (black, white, green) and the secondary side of the transformer has 2 black wires. Assuming the green is ground, does it matter which secondary wire is spliced to the lights white wire or are they interchangeable?

I don't have the Intermatic Transformer but Malibu 300 watts with built timer and IR sensor. The secondary output of any pool or landscape transformer is still AC and therefore, the two wires are interchangeable.
