Jandy AquaPure 1400 “no flow” spa mode only

Hello

i recently upgraded from the pda to iaqualink 2.0. As part of the upgrade I had to replace the control board (the part with the buttons to control pool functions manually).

since the upgrade I’ve been getting the no flow reading on the control board screen while in SPA MODE only. The flow indicator light on the little interface board also goes off.

Cell and sensors are clean and it works fine in pool mode.

Any thoughts?

I have an AP1400 with iAqualink 2.0. The first thing I can think of is if you have a variable speed pump and the Spa Mode is programmed with a default pump speed that is too low (and lower than Pool Mode speed.) But hopefully more knowledgeable folks will see your post.

What is the number on the cpu of the aquapure circuit board?

Do you have the small adaptor board that plugs in between the board and the trisensor plug?

On the pcb there is a cpu with a number on it. If the number is 02110A10 or 01220A15, you use program A, otherwise you use program B.

If you have the adaptor, 02110A10 or 01220A15 does not use the little black jumper, otherwise it does.

Try pressing the little calibration button when the flow is correct but the light is off.

I do not have the small adaptor board with the calibration buttons. The buttons I have on the pcb include: h-temp, r-temp and salinity.

The number on my board is 01220A15 and I am set to program A.

You can also try this test procedure.

Disconnect the flow salinity temp sensor from the front board. Press and hold the test buttons marked salinity and R-temp.

While still pressing the test buttons press the ‘Salinity’ key (‘C’) on the front cover of the unit. The LCD should read 2.8 gpl*.

While still holding the two front board test buttons press the ‘Pool Temperature’ key (‘D’). It should read 75° F or 24° C.

Next, press and hold the board ‘H-Temp’ test button, and at the same time press the ‘Salinity’ key (‘C’) together with the ‘Chlorine Production Rate’ arrow down key (‘A’) on the front cover of the unit. The LCD should read 91° F or 33° C.

If the readings are correct then the front board is O.K. and the problem is with the flow sensor.

On the other hand if the readings are different then it indicates that there is a problem with the
front board.

All good there (I think). It’s set at 15% for the winter season and I up’ed it to 100% to try and figure out what is going on. When at 100% it just says “no flow” the whole time with no error codes.

What is the filter pressure while in pool mode vs spa mode?

Did everything work before replacing the circuit board?

Is the cell right before the three way return valve that chooses pool or spa?

What is the Pool production %?

Note that the pool and spa have different production set points.

When you replace that main board, you usually have to completely reprogram it. I suggest giving Jandy a call their tech support is outstanding.
