We only use Leslie's 3" Chlorine tabs when on vacation so the rest of the year, I keep the container bucket outside the backyard against a fence for shade (kept it inside our tool shed until it got all my tools rusty - a rookie pool owner mistake). But now, someone told me to be wary of keeping it outdoors when the temperature reaches ~110 deg F abd above because oxidized Chlorine tabs can self ignite and cause fire. This is the first time I heard this and so I am concerned now. Can someone verify this is true? Thanks.
