About to use tf100 for first time!!

So I competed my FC test...6.5. 13 drops. But I think my mistake. Someone mentioned add bleach to get up to 5ppm. So I went into the calculator and put the now=0 and the target=5. Which came out to 112 oz. I went ahead and added the whole gallon thinking it's close enough. Not sure if I did the whole 5ppm correct or if I should have done what someone said later on and calculated FC 0 to 3. And only used half the bleach that I did....help!
How big is your pool, volume?

I know that pretty accurate because my cousin used his 5k gal tanker truck. And dropped off 3 loads. I take that back...he had some water left over in the tank so maybe 14800 or 900 ish. My pool is a weird shape so the calculator isnt accurate. It's like an oval with octagon shaped ends. But I'm positive it's in the range of 14800 to 1500. Changing my pool volume from 14800 to 15100 only changes the FC by one oz.

PoolMath 8 to 7.2 and dose it (not within 30 mins of bleach, but same time as cya is hanging is okay)

oh and retest your TA - that impacts how much MA will be needed

no it should be more like 40-80oz depending on TA if using 31% MA
Make sure you put in gallons, current and goals for PH, current for TA and press calcualte

Yes, that's right. POUR VERY SLOWLY! Brush floor after adding. Read instructions on bottle if you haven't already.

If you want to "sneak up on it" you can do one addition of 50-60oz, brush, wait 15-30 mins (pump running of course) and retest ta and ph, then recalculate via poolmath to see how close the first calculation was.

Normally I'd tell people to break it up and sneak up on it, but your TA high enough that I am not worried about overshooting by much.

Great job! Bring FC up to 10 and keep bringing it up to 10 whenever you test. Give it a brushing today too. How is the water looking?
Tonight you'll do the Overnight Chlorine Loss Test to see how much FC you lose overnight, should be losing FC 1 or less, ideally losing .5, or else we'll need to do a very quick SLAM Process to make sure you are starting from a no-algae/no-bacteria place for your TFP basic-pool-care-schedule life!

PH great, TA fine for now, maybe forever
CYA testing will probably come up to 30 in next day or two, if not we can add a touch more stabilizer or a couple pucks
CH is good as long as CSI is happy
FC bring to 10
CC fine

Questions? Reminder not to store MA near cars or important metal, and not near any bleach/chlorines. Shad and protection from rain are good too.

Did a quick test of FC and CC. FC= 10!!!
CC=.5
I think this is going pretty good!! I feel like a mad scientist!!

You're well on your way, now! I always maintain that once people start doing and see the reactions and the change in test results, it all starts to make sense. Another week or two and you'll be able to predict your test results with amazing accuracy before you even draw a sample.

It's going great! Probably best to leave the pump on all day and brush when you can. Check it again anytime after all direct sunlight has finished blasting the pool. If it is FC 6 or higher, that's an awesome sign! If it Is FC 0-6 that's still okay, but suggests you'll need to do a strict SLAM Process. Either way, your final test after dark will give you the beginning FC for Overnight Chlorine Loss Test. It is important that your water circulates for at least 30 minutes (and 30+ mins after last bleach addition of the day too) before taking the start OCLT FC value via testing.
