Please tell me I don't have to drain the pool!

I'm finishing up a pool build right now , & I have another pool that is under the pool shops control.

I plan on following TFP guidelines with my new pool, and I would like to take charge of this one too.

The pool had a complete drain and refill in March, tabs are used. The water looks great/clear.

I have the TF-100 kit now.
Here are the numbers at this point (I did each test twice because I'm a rookie):

FC 3.5
CC .5
PH 7.8
TA 120
CH 400
CYA 90

According to pool math I need to add 65oz 8.25% bleach & 16oz of acid. It also says I need to drain 56% of the pool. I'm trying to avoid that if possible . It's too hot here to drain a pool right now, not to mention I just did it 4 months ago.

Any help would be appreciated!!

Change your CYA target. 60 is not too high for Arizona. Then you only need to replace 1/3. It's possible to maintain it with that high CYA, but it's easier if it's lower. I know. I've done it. And I never want to do it again.

I guess 4 months of pucks. This isn't that unusual. The pool shops here don't even blink at that number!! Maybe it's an AZ thing.

When it's hot, they also have you shock your pool every week. I have done that a couple times in the last month.

I would just rather not drain anything now, if I can avoid it. Also, they are fine with 3-4.5 for chlorine.

I don't know.... I will say the pool always looks good & doesn't "smell" like a pool.

Ha!!

So, you are saying g to do a partial drain to get it down to 60?

Is it realistic to use liquid chlorine here during the summer? Any other options?

Another idea is, maybe they have me use too much stabilizer for the new water start up?

I'm wondering how much stabilizer I should use in my new pool - I don't want it to start out too high. What is a good target considering the extreme heat here?
