I read the additional reading post Waterline Scale Removal and it seems that you have to hire an expert. The Biodex and Pumice both have issues. Just checking to see if that is still the case and there are no other options to remove it?

There are other options..
You can use one of the following..
1/2 bottle of water 1/2 of muriatic acid sprayed on the tile and let sit.. use a brush to get the scale off...
you can also use this one, I have not used it but it seems to work on the video..

@cowboycasey thanks for this tip. I used the muriatic acid today to do my spa with a small wire brush. It worked well. I may try the main pool in a similar fashion when it cools off.
