Vacation worries

I started a SLAM 4 days ago and now my wife just reminded me that we're taking a four day vacation starting just over a week from now. All my algae success will undoubtedly backslide. Maybe I should stop this SLAM now, and start over when we get back rather than waste all the chemicals and electricity? Such a worry.

Can't imagine how a pool that sits stagnant for two weeks will be easier and take less work/chlorine to clear than a pool that's been worked on for over a week and might backslide a little over the course of 96 hours.
