Using pool robot while shocking

Guy,

What do you mean by "shocking"???

If you follow the TFP pool care process you never have to add pool store shock to your pool...

Tell us more about what you are doing.

Thanks,

Jim R.

If you are doing dump and pray with chlorine, then do not run the robot in that water.

What test kit are you using?
How do you chlorine the pool?

Post a full set of current test results - or post them to PoolMath, sinde it's already linked to your forum account.

Salt (if a SWG pool)
Water temperature

If you have algae, you need to do the SLAM Process.

Hey all! Is it helpful to use the pool robot to keep the shock from sitting on the floor or worse to use it while shocking?

Thanks!
You should never allow chlorine of any kind to sit on the surface of the pool - it can bleach it out or worse depending upon what type of chlorine it is.
What type of “shock” are you using?
Cal hypo, dichlor, Trichlor or liquid chlorine? There are different methods for adding each & they all have different effects on your pool’s other parameters (ph, ch, cya)
