I let my pool get green from being out of town so I pour shock in it and it clears back up normally. But I was wondering if it messes up the fact that the shock is in the water when the robot is moving around the pool
What test kit are you using?
How do you chlorine the pool?
Post a full set of current test results - or post them to PoolMath, sinde it's already linked to your forum account.
FC
CC
pH
TA
CH
CYA
Salt (if a SWG pool)
Water temperature
If you have algae, you need to do the SLAM Process.
You should never allow chlorine of any kind to sit on the surface of the pool - it can bleach it out or worse depending upon what type of chlorine it is.
What type of “shock” are you using?
Cal hypo, dichlor, Trichlor or liquid chlorine? There are different methods for adding each & they all have different effects on your pool’s other parameters (ph, ch, cya)
