My pool builder is recommending I do not use Hayward SWG..reason being the aluminum walls will corrode at some point....does anyone know if saltwater voids the Aquasport warranty?

Check with the manufacturer about your warranty details.
Something to note is that all forms of chlorine will add salt to the water. After a few years you will be approaching SWG salt levels anyway. After 2 full seasons with my pool I already had over 1000ppm (about 1/3 of required) salt in my pool.
