Saturation index high

Well, as a follow up to this thread: Now that it is the fall, pool temps are down, air temps are down, sunshine is less, and my chlorine is lasting longer and takes less. I figure it is due to less sunlight and lower temps, but I also think the more recent batches of chlorine have had better potency.

Using some muriatic acid every now and then, my alkalinity has drifted down into the 60 range, even as calcium continues to climb. But with lower alkalinity, my pH has stabilized around 7.6, and my saturation index usually falls between 0.1 and 0.2. The key to more stable pH and saturation index seems to be keeping the alkalinity lower than the pool store experts recommended. Thanks for the advice, it was accurate and worked.
