Repurpose booster for spa?

Pool had a relatively new Polaris booster installed When I purchased it. I’m switching to a robotic cleaner…
Can the booster be repourposed as a dedicated spa pump or maybe the bubbler instead?

No, the booster pump has a specialized impeller to power the cleaner. It cannot self prime and needs to be connected in the flow of a primary pump. If you connect it that way it may work for your water feature.

Booster pump output is usually in the 12 - 15GPM range, not nearly enough to run a single spa jet. Maybe one bubbler IF water is supplied to the booster by another pump.
