I put the jets on last spring and didn't pay much attention to the direction they were aimed. I was wondering is there a certain way they should aim? Down, up, ccw, cw?
You should adjust the eyeball(s) to give the best circulation in the pool whichever direction that happens to be. Mine is set to produce a counterclockwise circulation with the flow from the eyeball barely rippling the surface of the water. That gives me the best circulation and the best skimmer action.
The circulation direction should be away from the skimmer so that the water passes the skimmer then the return, that way the skimmer takes 'old' water. In my case that would be counterclockwise. I also draw my test water a bit to the left of the skimmer to take 'old' water.
