Pool to hot tub

The time has come. The kid are gone & the pool is more work then play. We would like to utilize our gas heater for a hot tub. It heats an 18 round no problem so a hot tub doesn't seem like much of a stretch.
This forum seems like a good place to start.
Any suggestions?

Are you planning to build a hot tub?
If going with a standalone premade tub it would be simpler to just buy one & use it’s included heater. Just sell your pool heater to help pay for your new tub.

Very few spa portable spa control systems can be used to run a gas heater without some tinkering, if at all, due to the safety protocols in the system. So it would depend on the specific controls, but in general I would not recommend it.
