Pool motor sounds like it working but not priming

The black piece is part of the impeller that broke off.

You will have to unscrew that.

Can I use nfte lube to slide in pump seal? Pinch a penny says I can I use nfte lube (they use magic line on everything) but install directions say otherwise. I can’t get Hayward jacks lube anywhere. Different Pool supply store says just to slide it in but since no lube somewhat hard. Thanks.

I have magic lube they the pool store gave me but told me not to use on pump seal.
