I ordered a complete TFP refill kit, including a Taylor salt test kit this spring, and it came with the Taylor K-1001 Basic kit. I like using the Taylor K-2006 instructions found inside the top of their kit. I also like placing the TFP reagents in the Taylor color-capped bottles. What threw me was the pH indicator solution with the K-1001 says R-0014, and the former reagents were R-0004. Anyway, when I test the PH using the new R-0014, the color doesn't match any of the colors on the testing tube. It is more like a light, but bright pink. I thought I must be low, so I have added pH Increaser, then stabilizer, and it doesn't change in color. Then I tried the Base Demand Test and could never get the pink color in the test to raise. Is it possible that I have a bad reagent?
