Omnilogic showing really high pool temperature!

The pump is not that smart.

Some motors are temperature protected and will shut themselves down but the volute can overheat from lack of water flow and the motor will run fine. That damages the pump seal and leads to leaks.

Thanks that is good to know. Who knows how long until the hayward tech comes but so far the temps have been reading okay again.

Hayward tech came by and added a new one probe further up. They left the old probe but disconnected it from the panel. I haven't had this issue since. Thanks everyone for the help.
