New variable speed pump

Most folks let the pump toodle along most of the day/night, with just shorter periods of higher speed for skimming, mixing, chlorine generating, etc.
You're in a bird cage so shouldn't have much schmutz to skim, so find how low you want to go....1200 is a nice start. Work up or down from there... the pool's sparkle will guide you to determine how well filtered the water is.

If you have any water features they *may* require higher speed on the pump to get good flow, but of course that all depends on how they're plumbed.
You're going to be saving a mess of money with that energy saving pump. :goodjob:
