Hi. I am Teecajun from SW Louisiana. Bought a Clearwater Spa/Hot Tub 11/2023 to ease the maturing process. Love the Spa/Hot Tub. Great for the body and soul.

Retailer sold with the Chlorine eAse Frog Floating System. Great concept. However becoming very expensive to use. The Chlorine module is only lasting 2 weeks or so rather than 3 to 4 weeks as claimed. Retailer's assistance/recommendation is always to sell more product rather than to understand or solve why Chlorine module not lasting. The Clearwater Spa/Hot Tub has 24/7 circulation pump.

As such I have joined TFP for assistance and guidance.

Welcome to the hot tub club @teecajun !

-The first step is to get an adequate test kit (tf100 or k2006) to properly manage your water chemistry 🧪
See—> Test Kits Compared

-If you have never done so get some Ahhsome to purge your spa - this removes biofilms that are impermeable with just chlorine alone. Even brand new tubs can have biofilms form in the plumbing since they are wet tested at the factory & it’s nearly impossible to evacuate all the water so things grow while in route to you. This causes many to suffer from higher chlorine demand right out of the gate.
It is also recommended to purge, dump, & refill your spa every 3-6 months as part of routine maintenance.

-After purging, upon refill you can simply follow this guide & ditch the 🐸
