New pool how long to wait to swim?

Hey all. Huge thanks to all who helped me, especially @Texas Splash !

Finished filling pool last night, added bleach and cya this morning. How long do we need to wait, if at all?

So long as Fc is anywhere between minimum & slam for your cya
FC/CYA Levels
& ph in the 7’s go swimming !

If all the water chemistry is within range go swim!

If you used the sock method for cya (recommended) squeeze the sock until it dissolves- I do this while I’m in the pool sometimes.
After adding liquid chlorine waiting 10- 15 minutes to swim is plenty. I always brush it all around so it’s distributed in about 5 minutes really.

Thanks again everyone. Waiting on TFPro test kit. Guess I'll try and find a cheap test until it gets here to hopefully get a ballpark reading of levels.

I did use the sock method. Hung it from the leaf Skimmer pole in front of return jet. Worked great.

One build I saw the PB had this line in the directions:

-Once the water reaches the waterline tile JUMP IN AND SWIM!

Got to love that!
