New O/B Las Vegas needs help lol

Generally the tile installers have two jobs 1 install the tile and 2 level the top of the bond beam. So the first question is did they level the top of the bond beam before they poured the coping? If they didn't it may not matter or it may matter a whole bunch. Because the one sure thing is the water is going to be level. So the first thing your tile guy is going to need to be sure of is that the tile is level. You can calk the joint between the tile and the coping with silcone caulk but the tile line MUST be level.

I wouldn't sweat it too much. I have precast 12"x24" coping and although my tile was done first there is no cove strip or tile "cap strip" they used the same color grout as used for my waterline tile between the tile and coping.

Looking at the picture it looks like you are fine! Do what he ^^^^^^^^^ says and call it good.

Your tile is SO pretty!

Yea before we poured we went and checked old concrete guys forms. Adjusted a little and they all were completely level. I went out last nigh and shot a laser around and the pool coping is all within 1/8 of an inch which is great. I wish I would of thought this out a little. I still should of had tile come in before spray deck but going to have to mask off coping so don't grout on it or would of had to mask off tile either way. My buddy got me In touch with a guy that does a lot of cool decking for casinos here. He sells kool decking material and had the workers also. So he hooked me up with few workers and they are coming to kool deck this morning. We will get there. I was on a roll and surgery kinda scrambled things along with concrete sub I had. Thanks for everyone's input. Feel a little less stressed.

Thanks man when I woke up you relieved my stress lol. Ya thinking back when people use stone coping would t be a cap. Lucky enough we did laser all the forms so the coping is almost dead on level

Almost done with the kool deck. Love the dark brown but the rest looks light. Wife loves it I think should of went tanner lol. Once we get dark tile in and reseal existing patio that is dark brown should be fine. Always second guessing.

Looks like acrylic decking not Kool deck. Just make sure you got what you paid for alot of people mix the two up.

Yes it is acrylic ceramic coating. The guys that did the work do a lot of work for casinos here in Vegas. They use this product on a lot of hotel pool area because supposed to last a long time and really durable. Also supposed to not fade like kool decking and easy to touch up for us ourselves. Who really knows lol. I know wasn't cheap because I had to pay for all materials just hope it lasts.

Hey Brand, is that Spray-Deck?
If it is can you tell me what the colors you chose are? It looks great I really like the light color and it is so hard to make a decision based on the little pictures on the web. Thanks a lot.

It's an acrylic porcelain called desertheat shield coolfeet. Dark color is oro vieio and light is rancho blanco. We had hard time choosing. The more I look at it the better I like it. Thought should of went more tan on the lighter color but now
that dry it looks tanner then the I thought. Could be surroundings also. If possible for you I would suggest getting couple little sample cans and just putting paint on edge of pool the different colors and seeing how it looks. We still don't have tile and pebble in yet but think it will blend ok. Other part about using acrylic if do t like final color with finished pool me and my wife can get different paint and repaint decking fairly cheap.

Ok we are stuck on pebble sheen color now. Remember we have a huge wet deck and lots of benches and steps so going to really see finish. We are not sure if want to go with the blue surf will make water bluer. Aqua blue little less blue looking. Or the natural sand/beach color that will match the rest of pool. Water not as blue but also our pool is t very deep so won't have a lot of green. It's also in sun all day. Or will the tan pebble be to much tan for the pool. Or maybe with the dark and light cool deck and mixed brown/tan tile will be broke up enough and look ok. Or is there another good color? Kim help lol.

Too much tan! BLAH! Where is the BLING in that????????

Here is something to think about.........I found it but the pictures are no longer up so I did not post a link to it BUT....You do NOT want green so...NO tan for you!

"Gray (depending on the shade) produces darker shades of blues.
For instance, we have a dark gray plaster and our pool is a deep royal blue in the sunlight, in the shade it is pond-like.

Tans and sandy colors will produce a subdued green (not bright green)

White produces clear light blues as seen in traditional marcite pools."

First picture Blue surf/smurf:

Second picture I googled tan plaster and this is what I found Not sure of plaster name:
brand tan plaster.jpg

Now which one do YOU like??? I LOVE the Blue surf! It speaks to me! SO rich looking! I can just see a red float on it with me holding a drink!

But the second one does look more like "natural" water BUT you KNOW I go for BLING so...LOL

I really do not think tan plaster pool is picking up too much of the plant color due to the words I found to quote. hummm I will look for a tan plaster pool with OUT any plants around it when I am done with dinner.

Kim

I think I have picked your plaster color! I just love this pool. Note that it has steps to show the up close plaster color and deeper water also.

Brand-desert-gold.jpg

I hope you cannot see the name by looking at it! I want you to be surprised about which one I picked for you!

Let me know how you like this one!!
