I replaced the cell due to low salt level reading, However, new cell only reads 2000 and I have reset several times. what could be the issue
new cell installed due to low salt level was at 2900 but showed 300,

I replaced the cell after the independent salt test of 2900 the new cell only reads 2000 I reset numerous times
i have the hayward goldline chlorinator with the software version of r 159. The new cell from amazon is a blue world BLW1T3H T3 cell my pool is 10K gallons
I reset by moving switch to off then to auto waiting for click and the pressed button 7 times, then moved swith to superclotinate and then back down to auto and hit buttons 7 times still reads 2000 check salt

Check that the cell type is set to T-3.

With the correct cell in place, move the switch to auto and momentarily push the diagnostic button to display the cell type "T-X". Then move the switch to Superchlorinate and back to auto 3x or until T-15 or whatever the correct cell type is shown on the display.

I tried that and it only showed the 2000 on the screen I pushed the diagnostic button until i found something that looked like it could be a t but all i found a a crazy like e 15?

Green and clean t-9 cell purchased on ebay oct 21 it has no s/n worked fine until 4 days ago. New cell now reads 1600 vs 2000 and both check cell and salt lights are on
can you recommend a new cell to purchase or do you think it is the chlorinator

You are replacing a T-9 cell with a smaller T-3 cell.
Your control panel is set for T-9 and needs to be reset for T-3. That is why the salt readings are incorrect.
We recommend a SWG be rated at 2X the pool volume. The T-9 is for 25,000 gallons and we think it should only be used in pools less than 15,000 gallons. The T-3 is 15,000 gallons and is appropriate for a pool less then around 8,000 gallons.

This is a very important question that needs answering… A k-1766 Taylor salt test is the ONLY way to know a true salt content. Not pool store testing, guess strips, SWCG reporting, etc.
just orderd a new gold works t9 cell from amazon to replace t3
