Hi all,

I am on the tail end of a SLAM. Maintaining FC around 12-14, CYA 30. CCs are 0, but water is still ever so slightly cloudy, but oh so close! Anyway, gonna keep SLAMing until crystal clear, and pass OCLT. I imagine a couple days more. Anyway, my pH is high. Over 8. My kids have been swimming, and plan on keeping going. Can I/Should I add acid to lower pH, even though I am slamming? my pH was a little high when I started the SLAM (7.8 if I remember) and I forgot to lower it before I started the SLAM. No one is complaining about there eyes or anything. Not sure if bad that I have a high pH.

No, because you can't trust the pH test at those chlorine levels. Once you rget back to normal levels you can start adjusting pH. 7.8 pH isn't going to bother anybody swimming.
